Trenbolone is a very potent androgenic and strong anabolic steroid. It has a reputation for a rapid buildup of strength and muscle mass, usually providing the user exceptional results in a relatively short time period. The anabolic effect of this drug is stronger compared to popular bulking agents such as testosterone Enanthate, Cypionate, Propionate, Sustanon or Dianabol, with one very important difference.

Trenbolone does not convert to estrogen. This is a very unique steroid since mass drugs, almost as a rule, will aromatize or cause other estrogen related troubles. When we think of taking non aromatizing steroids we usually expect much weaker muscle growth, but not so with Trenbolone. We do not have to worry about estrogen related side effects, yet still have a very potent mass/strength drug. There is no noticeable water retention, so the mass gained during a cycle of Trenbolone will be very hard and defined quality muscle (so long as body fat levels are low enough). Gynecomastia is also not much of a concern, so there shouldn’t be any need to add an anti-estrogen if Trenbolone is the only steroid administered.

Due to the high androgen levels produced from this steroid and with no excess estrogen caused, this accelerates the burning of body fat. This gives a much harder and tighter physique, without the need for extreme dieting. Trenbolone if used properly with a very clean diet can give an incredibly hard, ripped physique and is an ideal steroid for competitive bodybuilders.

Trenbolone is well known to be more potent than testosterone and is three times as strong on a milligram for milligram basis. Because of this we can expect to see some level of androgenic side effects with use of this steroid, oily skin, aggressive “androgen-like” behavior, acne and hair loss are some of the side effects seen during a cycle with this steroid. Due to Trenbolone being a very androgenic steroid, this makes this drug a no go for women to use. It will cause irreversible virilization symptoms even at very low dosages with such a potent androgen.

Trenbolone is also a lot worse than Testosterone at suppressing endogenous androgen production. It seems likely that much of its suppressive nature still comes from its powerful androgen action. With the strong actions Trenbolone has on endogenous Testosterone, the use of a stimulating drug such as HCG and Nolvadex is recommended when this steroid cycle ends (a combination is preferred). Without their use, the hormonal balance to resume will take some time, as the testes are not be able to respond to the resumed output of endogenous gonadotropins due to an atrophied state.

A daily dosage range when running a cycle is around 50mg per day. While Trenbolone is quite potent when used alone, it was generally combined with one of the testosterones or other steroids for an even greater effect. During a cutting phase one would use a non-aromatizing anabolic such as Winstrol, Primobolan or anavar. Such combinations give a leaner look and hardness to the muscle. When using this drug on a mass cycle, using stronger compounds like Dianabol or Testosterone are best preferred. Other effective anabolics such Deca-Durabolin or Equipoise would be somewhat of a halfway point, providing extra strength and mass but without the unwanted side effects we see with more readily aromatized steroids like Testosterone’s.
